Old Smokey Brisket

Old Smokey Brisket

This is a recipe for Brisket using an Old Smokey Electric Smoker:

Cooking times for an Old Smokey will be significantly less than other methods due to the specific design capabilities of this type of smoker.

  • Brisket.
  • 1 T salt.
  • 1 T pepper
  • 1 T onion salt
  • 1 T garlic salt
  • 2 T celery seed
  • 2 T worchestershire
  • Barbecue sauce

  1. Mix the above ingredients and rub on all sides of a butcher trimmed brisket.
  2. Wrap the brisket tightly in heavy foil.
  3. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
  4. Unwrap brisket and place on rack of smoker, fat side up.
  5. Brush with barbecue sauce of your choice.
  6. Cook on high for about 30 minutes per pound, but check it after a couple hours.
  7. If you have a large brisket, cut in half and cook on both racks.
